Tamanna & Arefin – Wedding Day 4

The previous 3 days of traditional ceremonies all led up to this insane party.  They had around 250 guests in a gorgeous reception hall.  The event was non-stop from the moment the bride stepped out of the limo and onto the Doli.  While it was a lot of work keeping up, it was also a lot of fun to be apart of this day!  The highlight of the night was when a professional dancer hit the floor and started swinging girls around like something out of a bollywood film!

Tamanna & Arefin – Wedding Day 2

Day 2 was the Henna party.  I mentioned in the day 1 post, that Arefin and Tamanna tried to include me any chance they could.  Henna was no exception and I ended up with my hand painted from finger tip to wrist!  Although, those pictures won’t be included here :)

The last picture is my favorite.  On their thumbs is written the other’s name in, I believe, bengali.

Where do I begin?? A 4 day indian wedding….  only slightly exhausting!  Words can’t describe how beautiful this wedding was, so I will just let the photos speak for themselves.  Tamanna and Arefin are an amazing couple and I truly enjoyed working with them.  They really tried to make me feel like I was apart of the wedding and not just the hired help.

Tamanna & Arefin – Wedding Day 1

Day 1 was the actual ceremony, in which I was not allowed to take any photos, so what you see here are taken at the bride’s house before the ceremony.

Liz & Ross – Wedding Reception

One of my close buddies called me not to long ago and said his sister was looking for a photographer to shoot her wedding reception (they were already legally married). They wanted non-traditional, so OF COURSE I was the man for the job.  The family was an absolute pleasure to work with, Liz’s mom was wonderful, her father was so welcoming and affable, and her brothers are all great guys (especially the bum that didn’t fly in from LA!).  It was a fun reception, great food, great people, pretty much everything you could ask for!
