Dj Efx

I originally met Efx when he was DJing on my buddy’s yacht.  He always killed it for the yacht parties and I was excited to have the chance to work with him on a professional level.  I was able to secure an amazing location for the shoot, a 2story penthouse at Infinity in Brickell + an amazing stylist, we produced a fantastic end product.

Arsi Rey

Arsi is a talented musician, singer/songwriter from the Dominican Republic.  I first met him when shooting his headshots for Mega Models.  He later contacted me to shoot his PR and media shots as a musician.  Arsi is an all around extremely positive guy and just exudes good energy whenever you’re around hi.  He’s an absolute pleasure to work with!

Shot with Canon 5DmkII, 50mm 1.4, 16-35mm 2.8 II

ULTRA Day 2

Day 2 of ultra.  Not as nuts as the first day, but probably because I arrived early and left early (6pm-ish) so I could rest and shoot for Red Bull later that evening.  The sun was brutal that day and I definitely got a little burnt being out there for 6 hours.  The highlight of the day for me was seeing NAS & Damien Marley perform.  Funny enough, they were one of the few performances during the two days that actually used live instruments.  I’m sure I missed a whole ton of drugged out ravers that came out later that night for Swedish House Mafia and Deadmau5, but alas, I had a paying client to attend to :D

FYI – The video is currently being worked on and will be up shortly!!!

I dont even know how to begin to describe this shit show to those who don’t know what ULTRA is.  A 2 day electronic music festival with the biggest DJ’s in the word.  I’d say at least half the people there were on drugs and half the people there were under 18.  The amount of people attending was also insane, I heard 100,000.  I’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves…

Red Bull – Thre3Style DJ Battle @ Klutch – WMC ’10

As readers of my blog already know, I am a big fan of Red Bull (the company).  They have turned out to be an exceptional client to work with (probably because they aren’t miamians).  They are extremely professional and a blast to work with.  I had the pleasure of shooting a DJ battle during Winter Music Conference for their editorial files.  The battle was SICK!  These DJ’s mixed up the old school and new school then after the winner was announced, DJ Jazzy Jeff took the stage and KILLED IT!

And Then There Was You @ The Talent Farm – II

Another show at the Talent Farm by this ridiculously talent band.  The night started out with Johnny Coobs performing an acoustic set and getting heckled by his best friend.  ATTWY came on after and destroyed the place!  The highlight was Lunchbox (Armando Soler) jumping off the stage and singing in the crowd.

And Then There Was You – Weekend Tour

What a ridiculous weekend!  These guys are cool as hell and I’ve already mentioned how much they rock.  I’ll do my best to sum up the experience with keywords, deep breath……

Long drives, gay sign, hot nuts, tattoos, mobile porn, bible thumpers, ignorant redneck ultra-christian hillbillies, inbred ignorant redneck ultra-christian hillbillies, rocked the house, tall horse-riding violin-playing blond, mini-couch, more mobile porn, perkins, fried chicken biscuit gravy sausage bacon hashbrown eggs breakfast, superbowl saints victory, mustaches-and lots of them, excessive drinking, off key meatloaf singing, straight edge scenesters, down time, rocked the second show, quiet drive home, 3am arrival, all in one breath…. BREATH!

My favorite quote from the trip, from a redneck black girl after seeing my blinged out Jewish star “sooo, do you celebrate Christmas or Kwanzaa?”

Second favorite ignorant hillbilly quote, “No God did not cause the earthquake in Haiti to punish the Haitians for their practicing voodoo.”  (for a brief moment I thought I was talking to someone with intelligence, but unfortunately she kept talking).  “Satan caused the earthquake in Haiti and Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans because their voodoo magic opened up the door for him to come in and destroy their cities. “

I wish I could count how many times all of us discovered our mobile phones playing anal porn.

And Then There Was You show @ The Talent Farm

Finally I got to see these guys play and holy shit I was not disappointed.  I met Eddie Edge a couple years ago after an Avenged Sevenfold concert in Miami. We kept in touch briefly but I never got to see them play.  Recently my close friend Armando rejoined them as their lead singer.  This show has been coming for a while and I was seriously stoked to check it out.

Final Word: They rocked the fucking house!

(look for more from this group, I will be touring with them soon…)
